'noreply@' Type Email Addresses
Good Morning everyone,
We are seeing and upward trend in clients using noreply@domain.com email addresses to send out email from their domains, this in itself is not a problem however it's bad practise to use dummy email addresses, that is to say an email addresses that do not actually exist. If you use for example noreply@yourdomain.com then the mailbox should still exist in the postoffice for the domain, there are a number of reasons for this, the main one being that more and more receiving mail servers now check for a valid senders address and reject mail based on that, quite often the email is then returned to our own postmaster account at Stormhosts, where it has to be manually checked by a member of staff as part of our policy on spam. Thank you for reading.
